We started off by waiting for the hot, stuffy and bumpy van which came late, and had our dinner at the town’s fast food restaurant, KFC, before heading to our chalet. Upon arrival, we settled down and then off we went to set up the telescopes. Initially, we wanted to catch the comet PANSTARRS together with the SingAstro people but well, we didn’t manage to see it. An aeroplane flew past though, for a while, we thought that was what we were anticipating! (Sigh). After that, the sky turned darker and we can see the beautiful starry sky! The sky was pretty clear, but it gets cloudy now and then. So, it will be real irritating especially when you’re taking photos, or searching for stuffs through the telescopes. However, still pretty night sky there! *.*
Hello Wei Ting! Such good life you have there, just having to take care of the stuffs while the rest were busy moving items out!

Milky way is visible here :)
I can see Orion’s Belt and Orion nebula here!
Some of us stayed up whole night to wait for sunrise. However, thick clouds formed (as can be seen from the photos below). Some people gathered to take the photo of that morning though. After this, we had a simple breakfast. After that, some of us took a nap, bath, played board games and even took a walk at the private beach to entertain ourselves (we had the beach all to ourselves! ^.^). Time flies when you are having fun and before we knew it, the sun is setting already! We had a quick dinner and hurried back to set up our telescopes.
Sun rise behind the clouds :(
Beautiful in it’s own way though, hmm?

We packed our stuffs, slack, nap, play board games again to kill time. Right before leaving, we took a group photo of our own club members and also with the SingAstro members. Then, the van stopped by a seafood restaurant for us to have our lunch before heading back to Singapore.
The group of us stayed up the WHOLE night playing taidi, bridge etc, and here we are playing the never ending cheat before breakfast.
A beetle joined us when we’re having breakfast!
Over at the seafood place before heading back to Singapore!
More dishes! ^^
So basically, it was a productive and fruitful trip. I had learn a lot during the trip, which include the spotting of constellations, planets, nebulae, star clusters and milky way. Don’t worry that we will have another trip planned in July. Hope to see ya there!
